Bart D. Ehrman

Ehrman in 2012 Bart Denton Ehrman (born October 5, 1955) is an American New Testament scholar whose research focuses on the textual criticism of the New Testament, the historical Jesus, and the origins and development of early Christianity. He is James A. Gray Distinguished Professor of Religious Studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is the author or editor of more than thirty books, including six ''New York Times'' bestsellers, and he has created nine lecture series with The Great Courses. He also runs a membership blog whose proceeds support charities that address hunger and homelessness, which reported more than three million dollars raised by March 2025. Provided by Wikipedia
